The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) has recorded a throughput of 441,984 TEU in June 2021 – a growth of 52.78% year-on-year (YoY).
The considerable boost in container throughput compares to 289,292 TEU in June 2020.

In terms of rail operations, JNPT handled 88,849 TEU of Inland Container Depot (ICD) traffic from 548 rakes (the coupled coaches or cars that makes up a train minus the loco) in June 2021, and the Rail-Coefficient is 20.10% YoY.

In June 2021 JNPT installed two Mobile X-Ray Scanners at Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal (NSICT) & APM Terminals (APMT) at the port.
