Jeddah Islamic Port has set a new monthly record after handling a container throughput for October of 511,348 TEU.
This recent accomplishment in October significantly surpasses the previous record set by Jeddah Islamic Port in July 2023 when it handled 491,197 TEU.
These records align with the national strategy for transport and logistics services, which aims to reinforce the Kingdom’s standing as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.
The record also signifies the successful collaboration between MAWANI and its strategic partners. Numerous joint projects and agreements have been initiated to enhance infrastructure and upgrade the container terminals.
These initiatives include the establishment of new docks with larger design depths, deepening approach channels, turning basins, and sea lanes, and equipping them with modern, automated, and environmentally friendly equipment.
