President and COO of INTTRA, Inna Kuznetsova, has shared her thoughts on the importance of standardization across the global supply chain for the container shipping industry.

In the interview, Kuznetsova stated that the industry “suffers from fragmentation”, adding that “adhering to certain standards of information exchange, logistical exchange and business submissions helps to run the process efficiently.”

With the benefits of standardization including improved visibility, more efficient implementation of automation and lowered operating costs, it is unsurprising that recent months have seen big maritime players establish standards for port calls.

This year’s Container Terminal Automation Conference, which kicks off tomorrow, looks to further enable collaboration and standardization across the industry.

Inna Kuznetsova will be the keynote speaker of the 'Intelligent Supply Chains' session on March 14, 2018.
