An info-graphic released by UK economics forecaster Oxford Economics shows the economic value of EU Shipping industry.
As of 2014, the EU controlled shipping fleet accounted for around 450 million tonnes, which includes 60% of the world’s containerships.
Its direct economic impact is around US$6.6bn in taxable revenue, of which the average GDP per worker is around $58,000.
