Terminal operator, Husky Terminal and Stevedoring, has become a new member of the International Cargo Handling Coordination Association (ICHCA), the global association representing cargo handling companies.
Husky provides stevedoring services, container yard, and railhead transfer operations as part of the Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) at the Port of Tacoma.
Its international ocean transportation terminal services ocean carriers including Hapag Lloyd, Yang Ming, Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) – as well as the regional trucking community and the mainline railroads.
ICHCA brings together a wide range of players from within the cargo handling sector that perform a vital role in driving the world economy.
“Husky Terminal and Stevedoring in partnership with our qualified workforce partners, provides best in class marine terminal services and innovative solutions for our carriers, cargo owners, and drayage customers that utilise Husky Terminal,” said Husky President, Dustin Stoker.
“We are excited to join the ICHCA community to reaffirm our commitment to safe and sustainable operations,” Stoker added.

The ICHCA is able to monitor, contribute, and guide the development of regulations that impact both cargo handling and transport around the globe due to its status within the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and other UN agencies.
