Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and COSCO Shipping Ports Limited (CSPL) have signed an agreement for CSPL’s minority shareholding in Container Terminal Tollerort (CTT).
This announcement comes after the completion of the investment screening process, on 19 June.
CTT will now be developed into a preferred handling location for HHLA’s long-term customer, COSCO, where freight flows between Asia and Europe are to be concentrated.

According to HHLA, the collaboration between the partners strengthens the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg’s position as a logistics hub in the North Sea and Baltic region, as well as Germany’s position as an industrial nation.
Earlier this June, HHLA and ABB Ltd. partnered to increase efficiency in the long-term operation of big automated stacking crane (ASC) systems.
More recently, HHLA TK Estonia, a subsidiary of HHLA, built the biggest solar park in the Estonian Muuga Harbour.
