German ocean carrier, Hapag-Lloyd, has announced an update on its Atlantic Loop 5 (AL5) service.
The AL5 service connects North European ports to North American regions.
It will now also include a weekly eastbound stop at the Port of Saint John, Canada.
The AL5 service port rotation will be as follows:
Southampton – Le Havre – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Antwerp – Halifax – Port Everglades – Cartagena – Balboa – Los Angeles – Oakland – Rodman – Balboa – Cartagena – Caucedo – Saint John – Halifax – Southampton

This update comes a month after the shipping company announced that Joerg Sonne will become Senior Managing Director Region North Europe, succeeding Martin Rolf, who will take over the position of Managing Director Human Resources.
More recently, ExxonMobil signed an agreement to supply Hapag-Lloyd with B30 marine biofuel oil in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region.
