Hapag-Lloyd launches new Brazil feeder service

German shipping liner, Hapag-Lloyd, has updated its Europe East Coast Express (ECX) service.

Hapag-Lloyd has reported that vessels deployed on the ECX service will be omitting the Port of Navegantes in Brazil from mid-April until further notice.

Therefore, a weekly feeder service will be introduced between Navegantes and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for both import and export cargo.

The MV Login Resilient will be the first vessel to voyage the new rotation on 23 April.

Last month, Hapag-Lloyd announced it will enhance its operations in the African continent by updating its West-Europe-West-Africa (WWA) and West Africa Express (WAX) services.

More recently, Titan Clean Fuels and STX Group completed a ship-to-ship (STS) bunkering of 2,200 metric tonnes of liquified biomethane (LBM) to a Hapag-Lloyd container vessel in Rotterdam.
