Hapag-Lloyd increases rates from India and Pakistan to US and Canada

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) / General Rate Adjustment (GRA) from India and Pakistan to US (East Coast, West Coast & Gulf Coast) and Canada West Coast.

The German carrier will increase its rates by US$1,000 per container for cargo transported in 20’ and 40’ Dry, reefer and special containers, including High cube equipment.

The rate adjustment applies to all containers gated in full from 1 March 2024 and is valid until further notice.

Last week, Hapag-Lloyd announced it is suspending its Asia-Red Sea (AR1) service until further notice.
