Global Ports implements two new reachstackers to VSC equipment fleet

Global Ports Group, a Russian maritime port operator, has built two new heavy-duty reachstackers at its Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC) terminal in the Far East.

The reachstackers come from ZPMC, a Chinese port equipment manufacturer, and can raise up to 45 tonnes.

They are designed to help in the speed and efficiency of front handling by loading, unloading and storing containers in yard and railway front areas.

The new robots’ capacity to operate train platforms over a single rail track is a noteworthy feature, according to Global Ports.

The new machines will be added to the terminal’s current 13 reachstackers.
