Global Ports adds new terminal equipment for Petrolesport fleet

Global Ports has purchased three reachstackers and eight terminal tractors for its multipurpose marine terminal Petrolesport in the Big Port of Saint Petersburg.

The reachstackers were produced by SANY equipment manufacturer. Two of the machines have a loading capacity of 45 tonnes and one more of 10 tonnes.

They are designed for loading, unloading, and stacking containers at the storage yard and the railway fronts. The highly manoeuvrable SHACMAN terminal tractors will be used for in-port container transportation.

The new units are intended to reinforce Petrolesport’s fleet and allow it to grow the intensity of operations.

More recently, the company acquired three new Straddle Carriers for its Far Eastern terminal, Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC), in Primorsky Krai.
