Rolls-Royce has released a new video showcasing the potential of its Energy Management (EM) solution for the maritime sector, which it says can help shippers stay competitive and improve vessel operations efficiency.

According to the company, the EM solution is part of its Intelligent Asset Management portfolio and promotes an evidence-based, data-driven culture of continuous culture of improvement.

Furthermore, it also says the solution will allow customers to make informed decisions by providing invaluable real-time data to staff on-board the ship and onshore.

The solution has been ‘extensively tested’ and proven across a variety of different vessels and fleets and has improved regulatory compliance by combining expert data analysis and vessel-equipment knowledge.

The data is collected from ship systems and processed – it then appears on an onboard interface on the vessel bridge and any connected device.

As well as real-time operations, the interface also displays ideal performance levels, giving the crew everything it needs to improve vessel performance.
