Friday Focus: Lost Maersk Cargo Brings Children Joy

On January 2017, en-route from Rotterdam to Bremerhaven, the ultra large box ship Munkebo Maersk lost 5 containers during a particularly heavy storm.

Some of the adrift goods ended up on the beach of Langeoog and this brought a welcome surprise to the children living near the German coast.

To their delight, much of the lost cargo washed up was thousands of toys in plastic eggs. A late Christmas present perhaps? Or even an early Easter one?
