EUROGATE introduces CONROO GATE PASS

EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg (CTH) is set to implement Conroo’s Gate Pass solution to facilitate full digital verification of truck drivers.

The goal is to increase efficiency and security throughout the entire process at the EUROGATE container terminals. The digital solution guarantees arrival and departure without any delays.

The previous access authorisation, the analogue “Trucker Card”, will no longer be valid at the EUROGATE Hamburg location from 2 May 2024 and will be replaced by Conroo’s Gate Pass.

Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven will follow immediately, as will other international EUROGATE locations.

The new app works on all common mobile devices, covering registration, digital driver verification, DAKOSY tour planning (TR02), and on-site instructions. It integrates with various actors in the logistics chain, including TMS, platforms like driveMybox, depots, and warehouses.

Gate Pass aims to eliminate the complex paper-based registration process for truck drivers, streamlining travel order processing with early gate and lane information. This reduces queues and wait times for drivers, allowing more time for other tasks and enhancing security by minimising the need to leave the truck at the terminal, except during loading.

The new Gate Pass app solution will be gradually introduced at all German terminal locations of the EUROGATE Group from spring 2024.

“We rely on a solution that has proven itself at hinterland terminals and depots and use the digitisation of the trucker card to significantly improve the processes at the terminal for truck drivers and us as terminal operators,” explained Jannis Grantz, Project Manager at EUROGATE. Group.

“Today we are taking more than just a step forward. By introducing the Conroo solution across locations, we are setting new standards for the entire Group,“ explained Michael Blach, Chairman of the Group Management of the EUROGATE Group.

“But this also has a signal effect for other sea and hinterland terminals. Ultimately, everyone can benefit from the more efficient exchange of information along the entire supply chain.”

Late last year, EUROGATE GmbH & Co. KGaA, KG, Bremen, and Terminal Investment Limited (TiL), a subsidiary of MSC, extended their joint venture (JV) of MSC Gate Bremerhaven GmbH & Co. KG (MSC Gate), Bremerhaven.
