Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) has announced a renovation of its GALEX service, as well as the introduction of two new services: Gulf Pakistan Shuttle (GPS) and Jebel Ali Bahrain Express (JBX).
ESL’s flagship GALEX service aims to provide direct links between important Chinese ports and the newest addition, Dammam, Saudi Arabia’s marine centre.
The redesigned port rotation reportedly minimises transit time between important Chinese ports and Jebel Ali, while also ensuring sustained coverage in Sohar, Oman, and Khor Fakkan, UAE.

The GPS, an enhancement to the liner’s previous JBS service, offers direct access to Pakistan, Shuwaikh, and Dammam, as well as the transshipment centre at Jebel Ali, with further links to the ESL network in Asia, the Red Sea, and East Africa.
The service’s inaugural voyage will commence on 6 February.
Finally, the JBX service, which commences on 15 February, is an exclusive weekly shuttle between Jebel Ali and Bahrain. Bahraini consumers can use Jebel Ali as a transshipment hub to access larger markets in Asia, the Red Sea, the Indian Subcontinent, and Africa.
