Effenco has announced the launch of the first 100% electric solution offered at the same purchase price as diesel alternatives.

The company said that while the discovery of new electrical technologies has accelerated in recent years in the transportation electrification field, no one has yet been able to develop a solution that, from the start, would not be more expensive than currently available products.

Adding, from now on, Effenco’s 100% electric solution will overcome the main obstacle to electrification: price.

“With over fifteen years in the sector, our team has been able to develop innovative solutions that will make a real difference to fight climate change. By making it possible to have a 100% electric fleet for the same price as a traditional diesel fleet, our team has overcome the biggest obstacle to electrification,” said David Arsenault, Co-founder and President, Effenco.

Using ultracapacitors and high intensity wireless charging stations positioned with the company’s artificial intelligence algorithms, Effenco’s solution optimises on-board energy without sacrificing vehicle vocation and performance.

With its data-centric approach, algorithms and cutting-edge technology, the company will help municipalities and businesses significantly reduce their Greenhouse Gas emissions.

Effenco’s 100% electric solution will achieve zero emissions while minimizing financial impacts, the company said.

This fully adaptable system is easily installed on existing fleets of heavy-duty vocational trucks (collection trucks, dump trucks, terminal tractors, etc.) or on new truck fleets without sacrificing loading capacity and without impacting daily operations.

Effenco was founded in 2006 and is based in Montreal. The company is now present in over ten countries. As of today, more than 400 trucks having travelled more than 3 million miles use technologies designed by Effenco.
