Global logistics provider DB Schenker has worked with VeChain Foundation, a blockchain platform offering Blockchain-as-a-Service to enterprises, to use the digital ledger for supplier management purposes, according to Medium.
The supplier evaluation system was developed for China, and will use the VeChainThor platform to score business partners of the system based on collected data.
This allows DB Schenker to evaluate the service of the suppliers.
In the future, the system and its related applications can potentially evolve into a widely shared platform with a broad range of logistics service providers.
