PTI is proud to announce that Rich Ceci, Senior Vice President of Technology and Projects at Virginia International Terminals (VIT), will be speaking at the Container Terminal Automation Conference 2019.
Ceci, who has previously brought his wealth of experience and insight to the annual CTAC event, is currently responsible for leading major projects at the Port of Virginia, one of the largest ports on the US East Coast.
At this moment, Ceci is managing a portfolio of key initiatives that are expected to add significant capacity to the Port of Virginia, leveraging advanced technologies to improve both safety and productivity.
The Senior Vice President underlined his focus on technology in an exclusive paper for Port Technology, which discussed how ports and terminals can use automated intelligence to optimize their performance.

Ceci has also led successful IT projects for multiple terminal operators, such as Global Container Terminals (GCT) USA and APM Terminals in the Americas region.

At GCT’s location in Bayonne, New Jersey, Ceci managed the “Global Expansion Project”, transforming the terminal into one of the US’ most technologically advanced container facilities.
Before entering the maritime sector, Ceci enjoyed 30 years working with automation systems in the auto industry, delivering high-tech manufacturing solutions to multiple companies.
