A COVID-19 outbreak on an Ocean Network Express (ONE) vessel has delayed arrival in West Asia.

A 21 July statement from ONE noted that some crew members on MV ONE COMPETENCE V.081W on the PS3 West Asia service were tested positive for COVID-19 prior to berthing at Pusan.

ONE has taken the necessary measures to enable her to proceed with cargo operations at Pusan on 21 July 2022.

“We are working on ensuring that the vessel meets the required Covid regulations to be able to continue her Westbound voyage,” ONE wrote.

With this development, the vessel’s berthing date at Shanghai is estimated to be on or around 5 August 2022, subjected to further changes.

“Please be assured that we are closely monitoring the situation and utmost efforts are in place to safeguard the health and well-being of all seafarers onboard during the pandemic,” ONE added.

“We regret the inconvenience caused by this incident and thank you for your kind understanding in this regard. If you have any questions, please contact your ONE sales representative.”

The performance of container carrier Ocean Network Express (ONE) has led owners Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK), Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (K Line), and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) to positively revise their fiscal year 2022 outlooks.
