COSCO SHIPPING HOLDINGS has announced a new weekly service, ESE2, connecting North Europe and Mediterranean to the East Coast of South America (ECSA).
This news comes two months after COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) began works on its second 700 TEU electric containership (N998).
The new branded ESE2 service will commence in Montevideo on 16 September 2023.
Rotation: Rotterdam – London Gateway – Hamburg – Antwerp – Lisbon – Algeciras – Santos – Paranagua – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Itapoa – Paranagua – Santos – Rio De Janeiro – Algeciras – Rotterdam.
According to COSCO, the features of ESE2 are the following:
- Full coverage of the South America East region and radiated to markets such as Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay more effectively. The callings such as Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Paranagua, Itapoa and other major ports in Plata are included.
- ESE2 calls various base ports in Europe including consuming markets such as UK, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium.
- ESE2 provides stable weekly service and offer very competitive transit time for ECSA to Europe (Santos to Rotterdam 18 days) and vice versa (Rotterdam to Santos 26 days) which assists its clients to achieve greater goals.
