Thirty Five pounds of cocaine has been discovered at Port Newark, New Jersey after it was found concealed inside a shipping container packed with 1,050 cartons of wine.

The illegal substance was stashed inside a black duffel bag and had arrived from Cristobal, Panama, according to NJ.com.

The discovery was made by a customs inspection dog at Port Newark Container Terminal that sniffed the bag and confirmed that the drug was cocaine.

Whilst at Panama, the container carrying the cocaine was taken from one ship and placed onto another before arriving at Newark.

The cocaine was handed over to special agents from Homeland Security Investigations and was said to have been duct-taped to a total of 13 bricks.
