CMA CGM revises charges amid Mersin congestion

CMA CGM PCS in Mersin from and to North Europe

CMA CGM is adjusting its Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS), from Mersin in Turkey to North Europe.

Due to the operational situation in Mersin, Turkey, the carrier will revise the following PCS:

  • From and to: North Europe, Scandinavia, Poland and Baltic
  • From and to: Mersin, Turkey
  • Cargo: All
  • Applicable From 16 August 2023 (loading date)
  • Amount: $50 per TEU
  • Import Mersin Settlement: Collect
  • Export Mersin Settlement: Prepaid

In June 2023, following heavy congestion in the Port of Mersin, CMA CGM announced the modification of its NC Levant Express service connecting North Europe with East Med/Levant area.

Later in July, German carrier Hapag Lloyd also announced a congestion surcharge (CGD) for containers coming into the port.
