CMA CGM reshuffles Turkey, Spain, France and Algeria service

CMA CGM has announced a rescheduling of its Turkey Med Express 1.2 service (TMX1.2), which will include Gebze, Turkey in the rotation as well as Djen Djen, Algeria in place of Bejaia.

This reshuffle will maintain a large coverage in Algeria while bringing a better service reliability despite the congestion situation, reported the company.

This comes after CMA CGM’s recent announcement of its new NC Levant service setup connecting North Europe with the East Med/Levant area.

According to CMA CGM, the new features of TMX 1.2 are the following:

  • Fleet: three 950 TEU vessels
  • Frequency: Weekly – 21-day rotation
  • Rotation: Izmit – Gebze – Gemlik – Aliaga – Valencia – Barcelona – Marseille – Djen Djen – Annaba – Izmit

CMA CGM is confident that this new setup will not only enhance service regularity and schedule reliability but also maintain comprehensive port coverage in Algeria.

Following heavy congestion in the Port of Mersin, CMA CGM announced the modification of its NC Levant Express service connecting North Europe with East Med/Levant area.

More recently, CMA CGM announced the revamping of its Euronaf service covering West Med, Tanger hub and Algerian ports by combining four loops instead of two.
