CMA CGM reshuffles AZTECA loop with new Oakland call

CMA CGM to develop its AZTECA services with a direct call in Oakland

CMA CGM has announced the addition of Oakland to its AZTECA Loop 1 with direct calls from the US West Coast to Central America.

According to CMA CGM, the new AZTECA 1 rotation is the following:

Los Angeles – Oakland – Manzanillo (MX) – Lazaro Cardenas – Puerto Quetzal – Corinto – Balboa – Puerto Caldera – Puerto Quetzal – Lazaro Cardenas – Los Angeles

With its three loops, AZTECA provides the following benefits:

  • Direct weekly service providing coverage to/from Mexico West Coast, West Coast of South America and West Coast Central America
  • Direct calls from Los Angeles and Oakland to Mexico West Coast and West Coast Central America
  • Reliable connection to/from Mediterranean / North Europe and Caribbean via Panama
  • Fast connection from Asia to Central America with Manzanillo call and Lazaro Cardenas (LCT Terminal)

This month, the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) announced the inclusion of Jeddah Islamic Port to the Turkey Libya Express (TLX) service by container shipper CMA CGM in partnership with the Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT).

Additionally, CMA CGM announced it will stop calling at Iskenderun Port with its NC Levant Express service following the recent heavy congestion in the port.
