APM Terminals (APMT) has appointed Marliz Bermúdez as the new Head of Investments for the Americas Region and Beatriz Yera as Managing Director for APMT in Mexico.
The move is expected to increase logistics and commercial capacity in the area, as well as chances for recruiting investments resulting from nearshoring inside the North American trade bloc.

With over 25 years of experience, Yera has held several worldwide leadership positions in freight, procurement, commercial, ports and terminals. She has previously worked in Mexico, where she was Sales Manager for Maersk from 2005 to 2008 and Chief Commercial Officer at APMT Lázaro Cárdenas from 2013 to 2015.

As Managing Director of APMT in Mexico, Bermudez developed a more efficient organisation in the nation to manage and solidify the growth of Phase II of Lázaro Cárdenas, which is scheduled to begin operations in early 2026.
Her marine career began in 2003 when she began working on Merchant Marine vessels.
Bermudez has worked in both liner and terminal sectors for the past 17 years, holding various operational, commercial, and project implementation responsibilities.
