PTI has released an exclusive paper from Aaron Nelson of top 100 UK law firm Bircham Dyson Bell focusing on the potential of free ports in post-Brexit Britain.
Free ports are special areas exempt from conventional national trading regulations, and these could prove vital for the UK as it renegotiates its trading relationship with the European Union (EU).
The UK opted to leave the EU in June 2016, with 51.89% of the population opting to leave.
Shortly after the announcement of the result, uncertainty plagued financial markets as fears mounted regarding just how easily trade would move between the UK and the EU – the UK’s largest trading partner.
As meetings continue between the UK government and EU officials, Aaron Nelson’s paper outlines a potential vision we could see become a reality in the post-Brexit landscape.
