Nobody who has been involved in the shipping, port and terminal industry could have missed the surge in focus on digitization and automation that we have seen over the past few years. 2017 especially saw these topics take front and centre stage at virtually every industry conference and gathering, not to mention at C-level and board meetings within the industry itself.
