Yilport Taranto SCCT has announced that it will transport 1000 containers from NATO’s Southern Operations Center (SOC) warehouses in Taranto to Turkey for the shelter of people affected by the earthquake.

The first 100 containers have already arrived at Yilport Taranto SCCT.

Containers transported to the port are planned to be sent in two shipments of 500 each.

The containers will hold all the equipment necessary for the shelter facilities in the NATO camp to be established in the heavily impacted region of Hatay, a southern Turkish province on the Mediterranean coast that is bordered by Syria to the south and the east.
