Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) has begun construction on a Hyperloop passenger transport capsule which it aims to deliver in early 2018.
HTT was founded in November 2013, birthed of JumpStartFund — a unique crowdfunding and crowdsourcing incubator platform that uses collective knowledge and assets to make ideas like Hyperloop a reality.
The Hyperloop concept aims to not only transport people but also develop as a freight system that could run continuously and autonomously and allow same day delivery over very long distances, reducing the need for truck based transportation.
Hyperloop One, previously known as Hyperloop Technologies, is the company leading the effort to commercialize the Hyperloop for moving passengers and cargo at airline speeds at a fraction of the cost of air travel.
