A recent video released by DCT Gdansk, Poland’s largest and fastest growing container facility, offers an insight into its importance for central European and Russian trade.
Cargo travelling from Asia, specifically China, and North and South America flow directly through the Baltic Sea into Europe, meaning that DCT Gdansk is in a strategic location for increasing container throughput.
The container terminal is well connected to the hinterlands, with a warehousing and distribution centre positioned adjacent to the facility.
Its current TEU capacity is around 4 million, and it is able to accommodate mega-ships that exceed 18,000 TEU, making it an important trade connection for central Europe and Russia.
