Future Technology for Ports & Terminals — June 12 10:45 – 12:00

Konecranes' Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Port Solutions, Tuomas Saastamoinen, will be speaking at the Future Technology for Ports & Terminals seminar on the first day of the conference.

Focusing on matters of open industry standards and collaboration, Saastamoinen will join the stage with President of Kalmar, Antti Kaunonen, Crane Systems Leader at TMEIC, Alan Peterson, Director of APM Terminal's Automation program, Alex Duca, Senior Vice President of ABB Ports, Uno Bryfors, Senior Vice President of Siemens, Christian Koegl, and Innovation & Development Senior at Terminal Link, Franciso Banquer.

 

 

Smart Crane Features for Intelligent Bulk Handling — June 13 15:00 – 15:30

Konecranes' Director of Product Management & Business Development, Mike Hegewal, will be speaking at the seminar discussing 'smart' bulk handling and relevant technology.

Exploring the issues of intelligent driver assistant and safety features, along with other state-of-the-art features to enhance ergonomics, safety and productivity — this seminar will have a focus on automation in regards to the challenges of bulk handling.

Hegewald will be joined on the stage by Benedict Young, Managing Editor of World Cargo News, who will moderate the session.

 

Smart Servicing & Maintenance — June 13 16:15 – 17:30

Product Manager of ARMG Cranes, Tero Jaakkola, is featured on this seminar focusing on the impact and opportunity of digitalization on equipment maintenance. 

The talk will also explore the latest innovations in equipment maintenance, as well as the benefits of LED technology and smart lighting systems.

Jaakkola will join the stage with Vice President of New Service Business Concepts at Kalmar, Dr. Lasse Eriksson, Project Manager of Smart Industry at ifm electronic, Ruben Boom, Global Manager of Ports & Terminals at Phoenix Terminal Solutions, Ryan Hertel, and President of Sarandipity, Tony Simkus.

 

 

Clean Technologies — June 14 10:30 – 11:45

Konecranes' Environmental Specialist, Satu Kaivonen, will be speaking at the session focusing on the port industry's move away from heavy diesel-powered equipment to energy efficient technology.

The talk will focus on enabling electrification and energy storage at ports, the opportunity to use hydrogen fuel cells in the future, the energy saving potential of hybrid machinery, and the potential of implementing energy standards into ports and terminals.

Kaivonen will join Head of BD Energy Management at Siemens, Chris Pretorius, Director of Business Development at CVS Ferrari, Davide Bertozzi, Engineering Director at CRESS Systems, Rayner Mayer, CEO of CRESS Systems, Richard Bradshaw, Global Product Manager of STS Power at ABB, Robert Bernacchi and President of Sarandipity, Tony Simkus.

 

Clean Technologies: Continued — June 14 12:00 – 13:15

Dr. Joerg Mueller will then speak at the continuation of the previous Clean Technologies seminar.

This session will feature Director of Big Truck Products at Hyster, Jan-Willem van den Brand, Project Leader of Hyster, Willem Nieuwland, Director of Electromobility at Volvo Penta, Niklas Thulin, and Area Sales Manager at Liebherr, Andreas Ritschel.
