Time-Lapse: Greenest Mega-Ship Construction

A video recently published via YouTube shows a time lapse of the construction of the world’s greenest mega-ship, which is the 18,800 TEU UASC Barzan.

Technical Paper: The Zero Emissions Containership

The Barzan containership is the first to receive ‘Gas Ready’ notation by classification society DNV GL.

PTI previously reported that the UASC had won the ‘Green Shipping Award’ at the Maritime Standards Awards 2015 in recognition of its commitment to the environment.

UASC has also recently begun trading with Iran which will be subject to strict compliance checks that are in line with international laws.
