THE Alliance updates Asia-North Europe network

THE Alliance has announced changes to the Asia – North Europe Network by suspending FE5 service from week 46 and enhance the existing FE3 and FE4 service.

According to THE Alliance, the following improvements were made to ensure that its consumers continue to receive frequent and extensive service coverage.

The FE5 will be suspended until further notice, while the FE3 service will be upgraded with a Cai Mep call with the following rotation:

Ningbo – Xiamen – Kaohsiung – Yantian – Cai Mep (new) – Singapore – (Suez) – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Antwerp – Southampton – Algeciras – (Suez) – Singapore – Yantian – Hong Kong – Kaohsiung – Ningbo

The FE4 service will be upgraded with a Colombo call with the below rotation:

Xingang – Qingdao – Pusan – Yangshan – Yantian – Colombo (new) – (Suez) – Algeciras – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Antwerp – Tangier – (Suez) – Singapore – Xingang

Beginning in week 46, a dedicated shuttle service between Laem Chabang and the Singapore hub will also be built to provide numerous links to THE Alliance’s Far East network.

According to Alphaliner, container shipping lines in the Asia-Europe trade intended to skip 27 per cent of their initially scheduled sailings in the first seven weeks of 2023 in February.

Two months later, THE Alliance announced it will alter the Asia to Transpacific-North West Coast network due to the current market situation.
