THE Alliance has announced changes to its Transpacific-East Coast Network by suspending EC4 service from week 46 and update the existing EC1, EC2 and EC5 service.
According to THE Alliance, these changes are intended to provide consumers with frequent and extensive service coverage, with the effective sailing date to be announced shortly:
The EC4 service will be suspended until further notice, while the EC1 route will be upgraded with a new Xiamen call and will follow the below rotation:
Kaohsiung – Xiamen (new) – Yantian –Yangshan – Ningbo – Pusan – (Panama) – Manzanillo – New York – Norfolk – Charleston – Savannah – Manzanillo – (Panama) – Rodman – Kaohsiung

The EC2 service will be updated service with a Yantian call and will have the following rotation:
Qingdao – Yantian (new) – Ningbo – Yangshan – Pusan – (Panama) – Cartagena – Savannah – Charleston – Wilmington – Norfolk – Cartagena – (Panama) – Pusan – Qingdao
The EC5 service will be upgraded with new Charleston and New York WB calls and follow the route:
Laem Chabang – Cai Mep – Singapore – Colombo – (Suez) – Halifax – New York – Norfolk – Savannah – Jacksonville – Charleston (new) – New York (new) – Halifax – (Suez) – Jebel Ali – Singapore – Laem Chabang
Two months later, THE Alliance announced it will alter the Asia to Transpacific-North West Coast network due to the current market situation.
