Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has introduced the first machines of its new-generation lift trucks.
The Terex Liftace 5-31 reach stacker is the first machine to be launched. Four models of the new Terex Stackace empty container handler will follow in the spring. The common feature of all these machines will be a combination in strengths of their respective predecessors.
Klaus Peter Hoffmann, Vice President and Managing Director TPS, said: “The mixture of competitive operating costs, ease of maintenance and convenience at the man/machine interface makes the new machines efficient overall packages.”
“All Terex lift trucks are being developed by international teams. In this way, the combined expertise of TPS is being incorporated into the new machines. The first example of this is the newly launched Liftace 5-31 reach stacker.”
On all new lift trucks TPS combines modules from its own production with high-quality components from renowned suppliers.
TPS has also reduced maintenance requirements and increased the uptime of its reach stacker.
Oliver Küpper, General Manager at the Terex facility in Montceau-les-Mines, France, said: “Our customers all over the world are always telling us how important uptime is to them. This is why we have designed the Terex Liftace reach stacker for ease of maintenance and repair so that the machine is quickly operational again.
“Additionally, when expert assistance is needed, our network of service centres and experienced distributors helps to keep the machine up and operational.”
Hoffmann said: “The Terex Liftace 5-31 reach stacker platform provides a basis for all other developments in the area of Terex lift trucks – in other words for reach stackers, full and empty container handlers and forklifts. Therefore, the machines have major technical points in common, enabling terminal operators to deploy their drivers and service technicians more flexibly and more cost-efficiently.”
