Tecsis LP is offering a bidirectional, subminiature tension and compression load cell, designed for ranges from as low as 150 grams up to 453kg.
In ports, the load cell can be used with container-handlers, such as straddle-carriers, as well as for measurement, process monitoring and control uses, and also for limited-space applications.
The stainless steel XLUS88 has an overload capacity of 150% FS and can perform in rugged conditions; it is fully welded.
The unit can function in temperatures ranging from -53° to +121°C, and is temperature-compensated from +15.5° to +71°C.
Installation is via threaded male connections on each end of the load cell, with a twisted-lead Teflon cable that is 915mm long.
XLUS88 requires 5Vdc excitation and provides a standard mV/V output. In addition, if a high-level output is desired, it can be paired with a Model ILA inline amplifier.
