Stena Line adds third vessel to Liverpool-Belfast service

Stena Line will introduce a third vessel to its Liverpool – Belfast service this week in response to increasing customer demand.

The Stena Hibernia will begin its maiden voyage on Tuesday and will add a further eight crossings each week, bringing the total number of sailings on the vital freight route to 34.

“We are delighted to welcome the Stena Hibernia to the Port of Liverpool, as it not only reinforces our partnership with Stena Line, but highlights a positive period of growth for the freight market,” declared Ross Thompson, group sales director at the Peel Ports Group, who own and operate the Port of Liverpool.

“Both Peel Ports and Stena Line are committed to the development of the freight market in the Irish Sea and these extra crossings place both Belfast and the Port of Liverpool as significant freight hubs.”

The Stena Hibernia, will now depart Liverpool Tues – Fri at 0300hrs and will depart Belfast Tues – Fri at 1500hrs.
