International software and services company, Saab Technologies Ltd., has announced that its Maritime Traffic Management department has become a separate company.
The company has been named Tidalis and was launched at the international IALA conference in Rio de Janeiro on 29 May.
Tidalis has its roots in companies that began as Klein Systems Group and HITT and came together as the Maritime Traffic Management department.
The company has decades of experience, with over 200 systems in operation.

“We are the same ship, with the same crew and the same commitment to customers sailing under a new flag,” said Ivo-Paul Tummers, CEO of Tidalis.
“As a separate company, we will be in a position to accelerate innovation and respond faster to customer needs,” Tummers added.
