The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners has approved the appointments of Khristina Jason and Clint Herrera as new Directors for the Port of Long Beach’s Human Resources and Engineering Design departments.
Khristina Jason, who has served as the port’s Assistant Director of Human Resources since November 2021, has been promoted to Director of Human Resources at the Port of Long Beach.
She joined the port’s Human Resources Division in April 2021 as Manager of Talent Relations and Engagement, after working in the City of Long Beach Department of Human Resources since 2015.
Prior to Jason’s city service, she worked in human resources for the Transportation Security.

Clint Herrera, the port’s Assistant Director of Engineering Design since 2019, formerly worked in public works for the communities of South Gate (as Deputy City Engineer) and Corona (as Senior Civil Engineer).
The Engineering Design section is responsible for the development and maintenance of port infrastructure such as channels, roadways, wharfs, utilities, and other facilities, as well as the creation of technical reports, studies, plans, and specifications for port building projects.
Herrera also worked in the private sector as an engineer on transportation projects.
More recently, Forum Mobility, a provider of freight electrification, announced the opening of a new heavy-duty truck charging depot at the Port of Long Beach.
