Ocean Network Express (ONE) has confirmed that one its ultra-large container vessels (ULCV), the MV ONE Blue Jay, hit a chemical tanker in the vicinity of the Port of Piraeus, Greece.
The carrier, an alliance of major Japanese carriers MOL, Yang Ming and K Line founded in 2018, confirmed the accident in a statement.
It took place at approximately 1409 local time on September 26, 2019.
As of yet, there are reports of pollution from the MV ONE Blue Jay and the carrier says the crew is safe.
The vessel is currently berthed at the Port of Permana while investigations are ongoing; ONE will provide an update as and when it has one.
