Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd. (ONE) has signed several Ship Building Contracts with Jiangnan Shipyard and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for the construction of 12 methanol dual-fuel containerships.
The vessels will reportedly have cutting-edge technology such as improved hull design, waste heat recovery systems, and a bow windscreen.
According to ONE, selected ships will also be outfitted with an air lubrication system and a shaft generator to aid in the exploration of possible fuel efficiency improvements and GHG emission reductions.
