Navis, a part of Cargotec Corporation, and provider of operational technologies that unlock greater performance and efficiency for the world’s leading terminal operators, has recently launched the Navis Collaboration Center (NCC) – a new and enhanced support platform for Navis customers and a collaborative online community for the entire supply chain industry.

The integrated platform, which is accessible from any device, serves both as an industry online community, as well as a Navis support portal for customers’ technology and service needs.

Kelly Cole, Senior Vice President of Operations Navis, said: “At Navis, we are always looking for new ways to raise the bar on customer service and innovation in the industry. In the spirit of continuous improvement and growth, we are proud to launch the Navis Collaboration Center. Our goal for the NCC is two-fold: to create better user experiences and empower customers with the resources they need to do their jobs better.”

The Navis Collaboration Center, built on the Salesforce platform, is designed to be a single, seamless platform which eliminates the need for Navis customers to go to two separate locations to manage support issues or solicit help from Navis community conversations.

Lisa Hammitt, Vice President of Business Operations at Salesforce Community Cloud, said: “By leveraging the community to find information and expertise faster, we have seen leaders like Navis increase overall customer satisfaction scores.”

The NCC offers enhanced search functionality, allowing Navis customers to collaborate by sharing documents and cases and get their questions answered as well as engage in community conversations.

Cole concludes: “The challenges our industry faces today are persistent, complex and cannot be overcome by one terminal or solution provider alone. For this reason, industry-wide collaboration will be essential to the future growth and success of ocean shipping. The NCC will no doubt play a critical role in that process, and we are eager to see some of the results that come from it.”

More information on the Navis Collaboration Center will be provided in a breakout session at Navis World and the NCC will be on display in the Technology Exhibition.
