MSC announces new service linking Asia and Mexico

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has introduced a new loop shuttle service that will connect Asia and the West Coast of Mexico.

This new service is expected to provide additional coverage and frequency between Asia and Mexico and is in addition to MSC’s existing network for the Andes, Aztec, Inca and Santana.

The first voyage of the service will be on 15 May with the Cyprus-flagged containership, MSC Apollo, setting off from the Port of Qingdao.

More recently, the carrier announced its collaboration with the Global Shipping Business Network (GSBN) to further enhance safety in transporting lithium battery shipments.
