Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) announced the expansion of their Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) business under a unified brand name of 'MOL Worldwide Logistics'.
On April 1, 2018, MOL appointed Michael Goh as the Executive Officer and Deputy General in its Product Transport Business Unit — who moved to make MOL Logistics (MLG) and MOL Consolidation Service LTD (MCS) actively collaborate to create optimal combinations of transport modes and routes.
MOL will establish the new company in Hong Kong in July 2018 to act as the new headquarters for the group’s entire NVOCC business.
Once all licenses have been acquired from the relevant transport authorities in the markets MOL services, MOL Worldwide Logistics will be the central hub of marketing, procurement, network operations and global account management.

The new set-up will see MLG and MCS sharing a single cloud-based freight-forwarding system to control and manage all shipments.
MOL Worldwide Logistics is also set to enhance their services through 'Robotic Process Automation' — streamlining routine data input tasks, improving data accuracy, and boosting labour efficiency.
They are also to implement improved mobile real-time cargo tracking by utilizing GPS devices in containers.
