Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), a maritime and logistics service provider, is launching its Maritime Advisory team that its brought together from the Big Four advisory firms of Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), Ernst & Young (EY), Deloitte, and KPMG.

The team, supported by information from the global ISS network of over 300 offices across 70 countries, will serve maritime sectors such as containers, bulk, tankers and passenger shipping.

Areas of expertise also include transportation infrastructure including ports, rail, road and aviation.

Types of advisory services being offered include M&A transaction services, market studies, forecasting, financial modelling and strategic assignments.

Bryan Phillips, ISS Chief Innovation Officer, said: “Our new advisory team is supported by ISS’ leading industry experts and local offices. This is the first of an exciting new pipeline of products and services we are releasing which expands on our existing platform offerings.”

Chris Whiteside, ISS CEO, added: “Providing independent advisory services is a natural extension of our core offering and what is in essence the role of a maritime service agent. This will introduce new customer segments to the group and expand our range of services to existing customers.”

ISS was successful in winning an additional contract through its regional branch in South Africa last month (December 2016) to be the agency for four more of Stolt-Nielsen's ports.
