In Pictures: MSC Zoe’s Lost Containers

The Netherlands Coast Guard has released images following after the MSC Zoe lost 270 containers during a storm in the North Sea.

 

PTI reported on the story on January 3 2018, which saw containers from the MSC Zoe, one of the largest containerships in the world, was up on the West Frisian Islands just off the Dutch coast.

 

 

A recent Port Technology technical paper explored the maritime software systems and how the industry can work together

The Netherlands Coast Guard also issued a warning to ships in the area after it became clear that three of the containers were carrying organic peroxide.

 

 

The MSC Zoe is now docked in Bremen, Germany, and an investigation into what caused the containers to fall overboard is underway.
