Conductix-Wampfler’s Global Market Manager Claus Burger has explained how conductor rails and cable reel operations are affected by factors such as automation and electrification.

The interview with the cable supplier at TOC Europe 2017 covered the electrification principle that Conductix-Wampfler is using for RTGS, which are undergoing the most electrification.

Also discussed were the differences between cable reel and conductor rail solutions and the factors that drive conversions to E-RTGs.

Towards the end of the video, Burger shared purchasing trends that he has noticed for container and bulk handling terminals.

Crane company Hans Künz and Conductix-Wampfler recently agreed to provide lifting power to APM’s new container terminal in Tangier, Morocco.
