The port city of Valparaiso in Chile is set to open an eco-friendly hotel, built entirely out of recycled shipping containers!
The hotel, which is planning to open its steel doors in May 2017, has already been awarded a Chilean government grant for innovation. The establishment will seek to build on the region’s rich history of wine production with a wine store, wine bar and underground winery. So, what do you call a wine-focussed hotel, made from steel boxes? The Wine Box of course!
Watch footage below from the APArchive that shows the hotel in development, as well as providing a little background info on the project.
