An infographic released by shipping agent Tuscor Lloyds shows the key facts and figures of the Port of Bandar Abbas in Iran that articulate the port’s trade position.
The port is currently the only port in Iran which is capable of handling ships of over 8,000 TEU, with 90% of all Iranian imports carried by sea.
The country could be in line to receive around US$50 billion in frozen assets after historic trade sanctions will potentially be lifted under a nuclear deal on January 17, 2016.
