An infographic from the JOC covering Maersk and MSC’s 2M vessel-sharing alliance shows some key statistics of the shipping liners’ joint-service.
As part of the alliance, Maersk will have the largest share and will supply 55% of the total TEU capacity, which is the equivalent of 1.2 million TEU or 110 cargo ships.
In other news, 2M has announced that its ‘Munkebo Maersk’ container ship of 18,300 TEU will dock at Wilhelmshaven, Germany on February 20, 2015 as the first mega-ship to operate the 2M liner service.
